Mentally, I still put up a fight, but 3 kiddos force a certain amount of priority change as well. Take the picture below: my vision was three smiling children dressed in cute, coordinated outfits excitedly watching balloons that would reveal their sibling's gender float out of a box with a gorgeous sunset beach background. Reality: taking children to a beach at dinner time when you have no intention of actually letting them play in the ocean much less spending the time to get three boys dressed in nice outfits after they already changed out of their church clothes earlier that day when mom is the ONLY person who cares about what they are wearing at the moment EQUALS way too much stress and a meltdown of some sort, either on their part or mine....so a quick five minutes in the backyard in play clothes is what actually happened. The photo won't be shared across Pinterest as the most awesome gender reveal idea, but did you notice that all three guys are smiling? Three big brothers that can't wait to meet their baby brother - now that is what really matters. Thank you boys for always keeping my perspective and priorities where they should be.
Monday Moments~ It's funny how perspective and priorities change as you grow older...and in my case, have more children! When little boy #1 was our little secret, I couldn't wait to tell the world. Too bad, I didn't show, for the most part, until I was a full time hospital resident living in my pj's. I had plans for me, for him, for what our family would become. Now little one #4 is on his way, and I waited until I could actually find the time to sit down and type this post to announce our newest bundle to the world...it only took 4 months! I am not planning on anything specific for me, for him, for our family...I am merely praying he is healthy. My perspective has changed.
