I am not a very plugged-in person, especially for my generation. After years of resistance, I finally upgraded to an iPhone two years ago, but it still only has three apps on it. We don't have cable, and no one under the roof has a Facebook page or Twitter account. Nevertheless, I feel a constant pull to unplug...and I'm starting a blog...hmmm!

Sunshine Peeking is not my online diary nor is it a catalog of my family's adventures, as awesome as they are. I am passionate about living an intentional life, and I hope to share and inspire you to live intentionally too.
Each of our lives will have its storms. One of my favorite quotes is by Vivian Greene, "Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass...It's about learning to dance in the rain." Choosing to see the rays of sunshine peeking through the storm clouds, or having faith that they eventually will, can dramatically change how our lives are lived. Sunshine Peeking will provide glimpses into The Important Stuff, The Precious Stuff, and The Sweet Stuff. Making our life's journey with joy and hope doesn't make the road less harrowing or heartbreaking, but it does allow us to be purposeful and peaceful while we travel.
The Important Stuff: Devotions written after intimate moments with God during one my life's biggest storms and brightest rainbows, the life of my first child.
The Precious Stuff: Poignant moments, gentle reminders, funny faux pas from daily life - being a heart mom, having two little boys, and being married to an engineer - I should have some fodder here & there!
The Sweet Stuff: My frosted feats (aka cakes) and favorite gourmet goodies - a sprinkle of yum to inspire creativity or just give you something to drool over.
Now...onto the good stuff!
